Nordic Permaculture Festival

How do you remember the 2021 Festival at Holma? We remember it with a warm sense of and community! And now, Finland is preparing to host the festival in 2022. To help kick it off, Holma is sharing the abundance from this year, and donating 1000 EUR to the Finnish Association. Keep you eyes open, and share the culture!

We are finishing the last bits, and entering waiting mode, and some of us have already started to arrive!

Here’s a last reminder on some details.

Remember:

• that the festival is held outdoors. There are no indoor spaces provided. Bring clothes for sun, wind, rain, or whatever weather is to expect. Bring warm clothes for chilly evenings. Also bring something to sit on.
• to bring your own plate, fork/spoon/knife, and a water bottle/cup to use during the festival.
• to bring stuff to trade, if you have some. On Saturday, we have an Open-Air Market.

Planeten behöver mer genomslagskraft i miljöarbetet!

Den här workshopen är till för dig som är nyfiken på hur vi kan organisera oss mer effektivt genom sociokrati.

Sociokrati är ett verktyg där vi tar ett helhetsgrepp på hur vi vill samarbeta. Vi designar vårt samarbete tillsammans, och alla roller vi behöver. Samtidigt tar vi beslut tillsammans, så att alla som berörs blir hörda och samtycker.

Holma folkhögskola drivs idag genom sociokrati.
Andreas, som är utbildare inom sociokrati, vägleder oss i processen.

There will be an Open-Air Market during the Festival. Hopefully on Saturday, weather permitting. Anyone can join in – DIY-style.

There are very few tables to borrow, so don’t count on us for all the logistics You are more sure to find a good spot if you bring what you need!

So bring your cool stuff! Let’s trade! And don’t forget your ticket

Vi kör en öppen marknad på festivalen. Förhoppningsvis på lördagen om vädret tillåter.

Alla kan vara med – på gör-det-själv vis. Det finns allt för få bord att låna, så du hittar nog din bästa plats, om du själv tar med det du behöver!

Abigail will guide us, using exercises and conversations to explore and experience together, what it feels like to live in a regenerative/sustainable future within planetary boundaries. The workshop will be in English, outdoors and inspired by the Transition Network and Joanna Macy’s Work that reconnects.

Jennie, teacher at Holma folkhögskola, will guide us through the fabulous world of bacteria. This workshop will focus on taking care of the harvest at Holma, and using fermentation as a way to store food over the coming winter.

Lien är ett användbart verktyg, både för att få artrika ängar och ta gräs för marktäckning. Odd, kommer att att hjälpa oss att finslipa slåttertekniken i denna workshopen! Det kan bli svettigt (eller blött) så ta med ett luftigt klädombyte. En solhatt, en vattenflaska och mungipor som pekar uppåt, är också bra att ha med sig.

There is no Permaculture without Design!

Cathrine Dolleris has taught Permaculture Design Courses since 2011 and is a Diploma tutor since 2014

She will guide us through an Introduction to design Toolbox, Ethics & Principles

Are you curious about Permaculture Design? In this session you will learn about different design processes used in permaculture and you will get an insight into The Design Web, GoSADIMET and OBRADIM. The session will be a combination of facilitation and group work.

Anders kommer hålla en workshop där han delar med sig av erfarenheter av nötodling i mångfaldsorienterade system. Med hjälp av ekosystemtjänster kan vi möta de planetära gränserna och samtidigt nå en produktion av säljbara produkter. Vi får ta del av tankar om vägval och strategier för etablering, underhåll, samodling, finansiering, skörd, och för livet som permakulturnötodlare.

Anders will hold a workshop where he will share his experience in nut crops, grown in systems aiming for biodiversity. With the help of ecosystem services we can meet planetary boundaries head-on, and at the same time produce a viable yield of nuts. Anders will share his thoughts on pathways, strategies for implementing, maintenance, polycultures, finance, harvest, and life as a Permaculture nut grower.#permakultur#permaculture#festival

Join Stina and Sofia for a walk at the fringe of the festival area, and learn more about which plants are tasty to eat, and which plants can supplement your home apothecary. During the walk we will look into when to pick what, what different plants contain, how you prepare them, and which ones to avoid eating. We will also look at how the plants aid the body’s self healing. We end the workshop with a conversation on how we can make our own tinctures, ointments and oils.

Örtmedicin och vandring bland vilda växter

Häng med Stina och Sofia på en vandring i utkanten av festivalområdet och lär dig mer om vilka vilda växter som är goda att äta och vilka som kan vara ett tillskott i ditt hemmaapotek. Under vandringen tittar vi närmare på när du plockar dem, vad de innehåller, hur du tillreder dem, vilka växter man ska undvika att äta och även de växter som främjar kroppens självläkning. Sedan samlas vi för att prata mer om hur vi kan göra tinkturer, salvor, oljor etc.
